Production of Apothecia of Sclerotinia minor

Abstract

Large numbers of apothecia of Sclerotinia minor Jagg, were produced by incubating sclerotia in tap water in petri dishes for 6\2-8 weeks under a diurnal temperature regime of 8 h at 15°c and 16 h at 10°c in the dark and then incubating the dishes for 8h each day under artificial illumination provided by daylight fluorescent lamps for 2\2-3 weeks at 18°c.
