Abstract
Natural interspecific hybrids between Carmichaelia crassicaulis subsp. crassicaulis and C. vexillata are described from two populations in Otago. The hybrids are intermediate between the two parents in growth habit, stem morphology, and flower and fruit characters. These plants are the first record of natural hybrids between Carmichaelia and the former segregate genus Corallospartium.
