Abstract
Sporulation of Plasmopara viticola (Berk. et Curt. ex de Bary) Berl. et de Toni on infected grapevine leaves proceeded in a moist atmosphere in darkness but not in light. Sporulation was inhibited by irradiation either with near-u.v. light of 310–400 nm, or with green of 500–560 nm, at intensities of more than 3, or 3.5 Wm−2 respectively.
