Abstract
The previous list of chromsome numbers of New Zealand gentians which appeared in an earlier part of this series (Hair, J. B.; Webb, C. J.; Beuzenberg, E. J. 1980: Contributions to a chromosome atlas of the New Zealand floraߞ22 Gentiana (Gentianaceae) New Zealand Journal of Botany 18: 563–564) is augmented by 27 additional counts representing approximately 13 species. Original determinations are reported for G. filipes, G. saxosa, G. tenuifolia, and G. tereticaulis. All species were found to have 18 pairs of chromosomes.
