Abstract
From a study of species of the genus Mycena collected in New Zealand, descriptions are given of seven new species, M. globuliformis, M. lividorubra, M. mamaku, M. oratiensis, M. podocarpi, M. ruhroglobosa and M. vinaceipora, and one new record, M. austroavenacea. Four species previously described by Stevenson (1964) are re-examined in detail, the identity of three confirmed, M. mariae, M. morris-jonesii and M. parsonsii, and one renamed, M. ura.
