SUMMARY

This paper reviews, partly in tabular form, two recent noteworthy publications, a book by Horst (1963) and a work on programmed instruction by Holzman, Schaefer & Glaser (1962). The author further presents some views on possible means of intensifying contact between mathematics and the behavioral sciences. The contribution to be made by the wise use of the essential principles of programmed instruction is emphasized.
