Abstract
Sri Lanka is one of Norway's main development aid recipients. This has provided a focus for the engagement of Norwegian geographers in research and consultancy work in Sri Lanka, and for the development of academic links between Sri Lankan and Norwegian researchers in a variety of fields. This issue of the Norwegian Journal of Geography is intended to present work undertaken by Norwegian geographers in Sri Lanka, as well as work related to development projects undertaken by Sri Lankan research colleagues with whom Norwegian geographers have had contact.
