Sector versus region: the stalemate of Norwegian regional development policies in the 1980s

Pages 85-91 | Published online: 15 Apr 2008

Abstract

The issues addressed in this paper are the extent to which regional development policy goals are acted upon and the results that arc obtained. To what extent do policy measures achieve their goals? To what extent does the central government really try, or should the concept of regional policy be written off as a symbolic gimmick?
