Abstract
The hierarchy of landforms is discussed to determine the macro-landforms to be presented on a 1:1 million and on a 1:5 million geomorphological map of Norway. The descriptive definitions of some of the macro-landforms found in Norway are given together with a review of their distribution. An evolution diagram showing how the macro-landforms have developed divides the Norwegian macrolandforms into three: the old ones in bedrock, the young in bedrock and the young in surficial material. The 1:5 million map of Norway's geomorphology is enclosed.
