Abstract
Increased accessibility has not released a large latent demand for recreation in Aurlandsdalen during and after the hydropower development (HPD). There have, however, been substantial displacement effects among the traditional users with impact also outside the core area of the influence zone. The changes in recreational behaviour during and after the developments are not only connected with the primary HPD. The effects of interaction with different secondary projects and with unplanned changes in adjacent areas and in the society in general are identified.
