Abstract
The 28th International Geographical Congress will be held in The Hague, The Netherlands, from 4 to 10 August 1996. The main theme of the congress will be Land, sea and human effort. Themes to be taken up at the congress will include maritime planning, the exploitation of offshore mineral resources and interactions in the coastal zone, among others.
