Castings of soil profiles and soil surfaces are very useful for exhibitions, documentation and also for pedagogic purposes. Several aids can be used in casting soil profiles, tracks, etc., and here we present a detailed description of the areas in which polyurethane foam can be applied, as well as its limitations and how it can be combined with other methods.
