Some New Genera of Oriental Chloropidae (Diptera)

Abstract

Four new genera of subfamily Oscinellinae of Chloropidae are described: Indometopi. (type species Indometopis granulosa, sp. nov.), Heteroscinoides (type species Heteroscinoides niger, sp nov.), Pseudonomba (type species Pseudonomba typica, sp. nov.) and Tricimbomyia (type specie; Tricimbomyia muzhiyarense, sp. nov.). Collections made from Mizoram and Meghalaya in the north eastern parts of India and from Muzhiyar in the Western Ghats revealed several new genera. Fou: new generic names, belonging to the subfamily Oscinellinae, are proposed here. The type specimen: are in the collections of the Zoological Survey of India, Madras.
