Original label data associated with all extant known syntypes of Flatidae named by Francis Walker and W. L. Distant are recorded. Whenever available, the genitalia of holotype and lectotype males are illustrated. Assignment of species in genera currently accepted in Flatidae is reviewed, and new synonymies or new combinations are given where necessary.
