Taxonomic and descriptive notes are provided on 120 species of Indian Encyrtidae. Twenty-seven specific names are placed in synonymy. Also five species are transferred to other genera as new combinations and Lectotypes are selected and designated for 8 species. This paper mainly deals with the types of encyrtid species located in collections of the Department of Zoology, A.M.U., Aligarh.
