Abstract
Dendroides nakabusana Kôno (1936) is proposed as a new junior synonym of Dendroides lesnei Blair (1914). A discussion of evidence from the original descriptions of both species, as well as illustrations of salient anatomical features associated with the head and pronotum of this Japanese pyrochroid are provided in support of the proposed action. A lectoype is designated for Dendroides lesnei to help insure nomenclatural stability of this previously misunderstood and misrepresented species.
