Abstract
Studies on the Beesoniidae, gall-inducing coccoids associated mainly with Dipterocar-paceae, are reviewed with emphasis on some aspects unusual in coccoids. Diversity in morphologies is discussed with particular reference to diversity in galls and supposed behavioural peculiarities. The occurrence of a great number of unknown forms is expected on the basis of mainly herbarial surveys, from which is prepared a list of dipterocarps bearing galls induced by undetermined beesoniids or unknown organisms that are probably coccoids.
