The genus Pterocomma Buckton (Hemiptera: Aphididae) from the Indian Region with descriptions of three new species from Bhutan

Abstract

Three new species of Pterocomma Buckton, viz., P. atuberculatum, sp. nov. and P. bhutanense, sp. nov. both infesting Populus nigra and P. saliciphagum, sp. nov. infesting Salix sp. are described from the Kingdom of Bhutan. The relationships of these species with other known species of the genus are discussed. A key for separating the species of Pterocomma from the Indian region is given.
