Abstract
Unlike sport it is difficult to say in science who is the first and who is not the first. If we watch the running competitions, the athlete who reaches the finish first is the best, like in boxing the one who knocked-out his rival is the best. But if we use the method of expert estimations we can say that Professor Serge Bourbigot is one of the best who is now working in the field of Combustion of Polymers and Flame Retardants. The interesting feature is that he was nominated to be the first Professor in the world of FR of polymers.
