Estimates of fecundability

Pages 57-65 | Published online: 09 Nov 2011

Abstract

Estimates of fecundability, the probability of becoming pregnant during a single menstrual cycle, have recently been put forward, based on estimates derived from conception delays. Two new methods of estimation are put forward in this paper, and it is suggested that previous authors were led to overestimate the length of the fertile period during any menstrual cycle.
