Bleeding During Pregnancy

Abstract

The usual causes of bleeding at various periods of gestation are described in some detail. The rationale for the use of the steroid sex hormones in the treatment of threatened abortion is outlined. The treatment of the more serious complications of pregnancy, such as placenta previa, premature separation of the placenta and hydatidiform mole, is described.
