Bleeding Diverticula of the Thoracic Esophagus

Abstract

Bleeding from diverticula of the thoracic esophagus can occur. An instance of pulsion diverticulum and an instance of traction diverticulum of the esophagus, which were apparently the cause of anemia, are reported. Both cases were treated by surgical excision of the diverticula.
