Undiagnosing Coronary Thrombosis

Pages 507-512 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

Case histories are presented of 4 patients who suffered acute episodes of chest pain, dyspnea and shock, originally diagnosed as acute coronary occlusion. In each case more careful studies led to the correct diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. The importance of making the correct differential diagnosis in these two conditions is stressed and the salient points of differentiation are presented.
