Abstract
Sympathectomy is discussed according to its effect on conditions relating to (1) the head and neck, (2) the extremities and (3) the thorax and abdomen. Indications for the operation are presented and the results of surgery evaluated. It is emphasized that each patient should be studied carefully before sympathectomy is done.
