Causes and Treatment of Sciatica

Abstract

Sciatica is attributable to nerve root lesions in 90 per cent of cases. Symptoms are constant aching and burning, shooting pain of increasing severity extending at least to the knee, and low back pain. Treatment depends on the cause and consequently may be surgical or nonsurgical.
