The Management of Patients with Renal Lithiasis

Abstract

The management of the patient with renal lithiasis requires the cooperation of the urologist, endocrinologist, chemist and bacteriologist to detect the underlying causes of stone formation and to institute appropriate therapy. Extreme care must be exercised in considering the etiologic factors responsible for stone formation and in planning postoperative management.
