Cardiac Clinic on Hypertension

Abstract

By essential hypertension is meant an increase in arterial tension without a definite cause. Excluded, therefore, is hypertension due to kidney disease, adrenal tumor, eclampsia, coarctation of the aorta, cerebral compression, etc. This paper discusses the clinical findings of hypertension or hypertensive heart disease, but also includes a cardiac clinic on “New definitions of normal blood pressure and hypertension.”
