Abstract

Subjects discussed in this article include indications for surgery in cases of bleeding ulcer, drugs in medical management, the present status of vagotomy, surgery in pyloric obstruction, relationship of hiatus hernia to peptic ulcer, incidence of malignancy in gastric ulcer, and the dumping syndrome.
