Treatment of Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Pages 519-522 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

The problem of the control of tuberculous disease is far from being solved, even though great strides have been made in the use of antituberculous agents and the addition of refinements in surgical technics, particularly those of pulmonary resection. The more urgent problem, however, is that of establishing the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis early. Only in this way can tuberculous persons be isolated and the spread of tuberculous disease precluded.
