Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis

Pages 121-126 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

Much can be done from a therapeutic standpoint to arrest or retard the progress of multiple sclerosis, and distressing symptoms can be relieved. Many contractures and other disabilities can be avoided through physical therapy and simple orthopedic appliances. The earlier the diagnosis is made and treatment instituted, the better the chance to control exacerbations and prolong remissions.
