Hypermenorrhea Due to Scurvy

Abstract

This article deals with abnormal menstrual bleeding caused by lack of vitamin C in the blood. Four cases are cited of girls who had positive tourniquet tests and of whom 2 had low blood vitamin C levels. The abnormal menstrual bleeding became normal following the intake of vitamin C and citrus juices.
