Clinical Experience with Atomic Energy

Abstract

Radioactive isotopes may be used therapeutically either internally or externally as radiocobalt, radiophosphorus, radioiodine or radiogold. Their therapeutic uses are being well defined. The industrial medical problems of atomic energy, including civil defense problems related to atomic explosions, are considered together with a clinical discussion of the effects of radiation.
