Duodenal Diverticulo-Jejunostomy

Pages 489-492 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

Diverticula of the duodenum rarely cause symptoms unless they are large, fill easily and remain distended. Previously described surgical methods seem needlessly radical or include the risks of recurrence or damage to the ampulla of Vater. Duodenal diverticulo-jejunostomy is offered as an alternative procedure when excision seems unsafe.
