DIAGNOSTIC CLINICS

Tumors and Cysts of the Kidney

Pages 117-121 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

Increasing use of excretion urography has enabled more definite diagnoses of various renal lesions. Differential diagnosis of tumors and cystic disease of the kidney has thus also been improved. It is emphasized, however, that all available diagnostic measures are necessary before surgical exploration is undertaken and that in many instances such exploration still is required to establish the nature of the disease present.
