Abstract
With this issue, Postgraduate Medicine is pleased to offer the first of a new monthly feature to appear under the heading “Through the Stethoscope.” Alternating as authors will be Dr. Noah D. Fabricant and Dr. Wendell J. S. Krieg, with the former inaugurating the department. The material to be included may perhaps best be characterized as subclinical but definitely medical. Although it is intended primarily for diversion, the Editors hope that it will lead to some contemplation of a philosophical nature on the part of the reader.
