The Early Detection of Musculoskeletal Disorders

Abstract

An orthopedic examination should be performed along with the routine physical examination, and history taking should include pertinent questions relating to orthopedic ailments. The author discusses the signs and symptoms which will lead to a cursory but adequate examination of the musculoskeletal system and points out the elementary principles which will prevent the physician's overlooking an orthopedic defect.
