Abstract
The development of new ocular medications has led to great changes in ocular therapeutics, and to the virtual disappearance of some previously common ocular diseases. However, these same drugs have led to a whole new series of diseases. The author emphasizes the need for physicians to know the value of the drugs available, as well as their limitations and the complications they may cause.
