Abstract
Treatment of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus is based on a combination of the intelligent use of antimalarial drugs, common sense, and ancillary measures. A drug which combines three antimalarial drugs in reduced dosage has proved safe and effective. Therapy is continued after clinical manifestations disappear. Maintenance dosage and total time of treatment are adapted to the individual patient.
