Antihistamines: A Second Look

Pages 85-89 | Published online: 06 Jul 2016

Abstract

Clinical experience has proved that antihistamines are useful adjuvants to the overall treatment of allergies. The number of conditions which respond to antihistamines is more extensive than is generally realized. A survey of the author's experience and of the literature showed that antihistamines afford symptomatic relief in nonseasonal allergies such as perennial rhinitis, urticaria and contact dermatitis.
