Early Psychotherapeutic Management of the School Phobia

Abstract

Phobic reactions toward school can be incapacitating to a child.

Treatment of the neurosis involves an intensive psychotherapeutic approach to resolve the acute situation, with continuing therapy to help the child adjust to his life pattern.

Cooperation of the parents and school authorities is essential for successful results.
