Abstract
Metabolic encephalopathies resulting from disorders of the liver, kidneys and lungs are manifested clinically as acute and chronic disturbances of intellectual performance and motor and sensory activities ranging from mild confusional states to coma. The electroencephalographs: pattern correlates well with the intensity of the clinical disturbance.
Clinical features, differential diagnosis, and treatment of neurologic disturbances associated with hepatic, renal and pulmonary disorders are presented.
