Treatment of Peripheral Arteriosclerosis by Methods Other Than Direct Attack

Abstract

Important considerations in evaluating patients with peripheral arteriosclerosis are stressed.

Indications for operation are discussed and the preferred surgical technic outlined. Criteria for sympathectomy are given and also for successful results of this treatment. Principles of preoperative and postoperative care of patients who have undergone amputation are covered.
