Severe Toxemia of Pregnancy

Abstract

A simple program of treatment is outlined which has proved highly successful in the management of more than 400 cases of severe toxemia of pregnancy, including 73 cases of eclampsia. A combination of cryptenamine and hydralazine is given intravenously to reduce vasospasm, and magnesium sulfate is given intramuscularly for sedation.
