Abstract

It has been proved beyond question that viable endometrium capable of implantation and growth is shed at menstruation. It is suggested that there is a host predisposition involved in acceptance of these endometrial implants. Primary cervical endometrioma is described and illustrated, as well as endometriosis involving the vulva, vagina, ovaries, ileum and colon.
