Abstract
The array of immunizing agents currently available offers more protection against grave infection in children today than ever before.
Smallpox, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pertussis, diphtheria, rabies and other serious or lethal infections can now be prevented through immunization.
In discussing the common immunization procedures, the author considers the age at which immunization should be given, the site of inoculation, active and passive immunization, contraindications, reactions, and booster doses.
