Abstract
Sodium depletion, achieved by either dietary restriction or drugs, induces hemodynamic changes responsible for a reduction in blood pressure.
The compounds should preferably be used as supplements to a low-salt diet to keep doses minimal and thus obviate serious side effects attendant on drug therapy.
