The Population Problem

Abstract

Rubbing elbows, when long continued, destroys equanimity and then reason itself. Since man is unlikely ever to imitate the lemming, and since atomic warfare as a solution to human overpopulation is unthinkable, we must find ways to avoid the ordinary result of expression of the coital urge without interfering with the integrity of the “marriage act.” It is the ultimate responsibility of rational adults to have as many children as can be brought up to be rational adults.
