The Diagnosis of Gastric Cancer

, M.D.
Pages 228-232 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

Earlier diagnosis seems to be the only way possible at present to improve the curability rate of gastric cancer. Careful investigation of patients whose upper gastrointestinal symptoms do not respond promptly to medical management is essential, especially if the patients are men over 50. Few or many studies may be necessary to establish the diagnosis. Major emphasis is placed on careful fluoroscopic and x-ray examinations and their interpretation.
