Diagnostic Challenge

Abstract

Tumors of the small bowel, while uncommon, produce common symptoms (dyspepsia, colic, anemia, fatigue, weight loss). Accurate preoperative diagnosis can be made only by x-ray studies and most often is made when a suspicious clinician collaborates with a persistent radiologist. Pathologic features, symptoms, and roentgeno-graphic methods and findings are discussed with a view toward the promotion of earlier diagnosis.
