Early Recognition of the Child With Minimal Brain Dysfunction

, M.D.
Pages 321-326 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

The parents of a child with minimal brain dysfunction are often as frustrated as the child. When they understand that the child's inability in certain areas is not stubbornness or willful disobedience, they become more consistent in their training and less overprotective. These children do poorly in a lenient, unstructured home atmosphere. Much can be done to prepare them for the adjustments they will have to make when they enter school.
